In addition to being Burton's highest grossing film, Alice in Wonderland spent three weeks as the movie in the United States and Canada, is currently the highest grossing film of 2010 internationally, and currently ranks as the fifth highest grossing film of all time. Despite its short theatrical-release window, it is also only the sixth film ever to cross the $1 billion mark in worldwide grosses. It is also the second film produced and released by Walt Disney Pictures, as well as the only springtime release, to accomplish this feat.
